Why it matters
Why electronics don’t belong in the trash.
Your data goes with it
Old computers and phones still hold photos, passwords and accounts. Deleting files doesn’t erase them.
We destroy the data on every device, free.
Landfills aren’t built for it
Electronics contain materials like lead and mercury that shouldn’t end up in the ground.
Nothing you bring us goes to the landfill.
The City asks you to keep it out of the cart
San Antonio treats e-waste as household hazardous waste, which never goes in curbside carts.
Drop it off with us or at a City site instead.
Before you drop off
Four quick steps before you drop off a computer or phone.
We destroy the data either way. These steps make sure you keep what you need.
Back up
Copy the photos and files you want to keep to a new device or the cloud.
Sign out
Sign out of your Apple, Google or Microsoft account so the device isn’t locked to you.
